Administrator's Message

Community is a noun that is commonly used in describing Moscow Charter School.

As Idaho’s first charter school, we have found a way to evolve our school community to feel like a big family.  This has been a draw for me since I became the Administrator in 2013. I love that I get to know every one of our students, parents, and teachers.  We all work together to provide our students with the best STEAM education possible.

How do we do this, you might ask? We are able to do so by keeping our class sizes small with a limit of no more than 22 students and only one class per grade level.  At MCS, we are able to focus on our individual students and use our curriculum to individualize student learning needs.  Teachers have the flexibility to split their classes up into groups to differentiate and develop skills at the level of need. We have found that this type of learning has transferred well between each grade level and makes students feel successful at school wherever their ability may be.  All of our curriculum is enhanced with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and students also have to opportunity to get further exposure to these subjects in our Specialty Classes and Middle School Electives and also able through participating in our after school clubs.

Part of what helps us maintain harmony in our community is that we follow a PBIS plan. This plan really contributes to making our school community strong and instills a sense of pride among our students and staff! Over the past eight years, I have been honored to be the Administrator of Moscow Charter School where the community culture is part of our everyday life!
