Anne McCarthy Wessels joined the Moscow Charter School in September 2006 as the Technology Teacher and Network Administrator. Anne and her family are new to the Moscow community, having moved here from Boulder, Colorado to be closer to family. Anne has a bachelors degree in Communications from the University of Toledo and a Masters in Telecommunications Management from Ohio University.

She's helping 3rd - 6th graders learn Microsoft Office applications, programming languages, internet research and robotic computer use. She also manages all classroom computers and servers at MCS. Anne, her husband Duane and son Colin are enjoying life in the Palo use area. Anne and Colin love hosting playgroups in their home for Colin's toddler age friends, complete with snacks, water color painting and lessons in sharing. As a family, they enjoy bike and scooter riding, t-ball, camping, time with their large extended family and, of course, computers. Anne and her husband Duane have the same Masters degree titles, although he is much more of a ‘geek’ than she is.

Anne is a former television documentary producer for a Public Broadcasting System (PBS) station in Ohio. She has videotaped, edited and produced a variety of local history documentaries. For the Moscow Charter School theater productions, she produces a 3 camera shoot to cover all of the action on stage. She edits a school fundraising DVD that includes the performance, as well as behind the scenes footage of rehearsals and costume and set design. The 2008 ‘A Fish Tale’ DVD also included over 400 still images photographed by parents of MCS students.

Anne wears custom made computer keyboard earrings while teaching technology class!
