Greetings from the theater department at MCS. As May draws near we are preparing for our annual year end theatrical performance. Students received roles, positions, and scripts this week for our original production ďFull STEAM AheadĒ. We have so many eager, capable and talented students that casting was very difficult as with any play there are only so many lead roles. Every student in the school has been assigned a job for the production and every job is important for itís success. From actors and actresses to curtain operator to set crew to stage manager, each is a crucial component. Now itís no secret that some people are more comfortable in front of large crowds than others. I do try to challenge my students but as everyone must participate in the production I also didnít want to put undue anxiety on any students (especially during the already stressful testing period) that would be very uncomfortable in such a role. Therefore only students who truly wanted or indicated they would be comfortable in a speaking role were considered for them. Again SO many talented students.
If you have any family scheduling conflicts that would cause your child not to be able to participate please let me know asap so we may make any necessary adjustments.
Also if you have any questions about what your child is doing for the production or any other questions about the play please feel free to email me. firstname.lastname@example.org
